Dr. Kashan Khan received his MBBS degree from Sindh Medical College. Afterwards, he did his Internship and Residency at Wheeling Hospital, Wheeling, WV. Being a community hospital that offered only Family Practice Residency, he gained vast experience in managing patients with multiple illnesses. During his Residency, he developed interest in Geriatrics, and later on finished his Fellowship in Geriatrics at Carilion Clinic.
During his Fellowship, Dr. Khan worked directly with geriatric patients in different settings like clinics, hospitals, and nursing homes. Dr. Khan has been providing care to patients belonging to all age groups as a Primary Care Provider since 2008 at his Davenport office.
He is one of the few Board Certified Geriatric Specialists in the area who has attended a Fellowship program. Dr. Khan believes in “old-fashioned” continuity of care for his patients, and provides both out-patient care to his patients in his office and in-patient care during their hospitalization. To serve this purpose, he is on staff at Heart of Florida Regional Medical Center, Celebration Health, and Winter Haven Hospital, where he admits his own patients. Dr. Khan’s philosophy is to provide care to patients so that he could make a difference in their health, especially the geriatric age group.
